This has been blooming all summer, a great fill-in to about a bit over a metre tall and always, at least all summer up until now, in fower. Autumn (fall) is now almost in full swing: mind you, Inga, it wont snow. Be nice if it did, even if just once.

Googled it, and found, this is also known as the Golden shrimp plant.

Sorry, that was (is) pachystachys lutea or 'golden candles'.

You are doing great, Sherry. I'm jealous. I have had difficulties raising both of these butterflies. My red bays are being killed by a beetle that is eating its way through the red bays of Florida. My Spicebush doesn't seem to attract Spicebush. I've planted another one near a down sprout in hopes of attracting some. There is s a tree that Spicebush use for larval food in Florida. I can't remember its name. I'm not referring to the camphor tree or the sassafras. Can't remember its name. Anyway, great pics, Sherry. Thanks for sharing.

Sugi_C , they appear to be the 'crawler' stage of a scale insect. Showering the plant is a good control measure; but the insect is a persistent pest. Hand wiping leaves (wet paper towel and drop or two of liquid soap) & (hand sprayer) application of horticultural oil are two other treatments which can be integrated into an effective program.

Something interesting I discussed with the Miami store was the possibility of mixing the CC colors. None of those pastels appeals to me, right out of the can. But, I thought about using the gray to knock the blue or green down a bit. He said it was doable. I still don't think I will paint my cabs though. They're such crummy quality, it hardly seems worth the effort. Maybe I should think about eventual re-sale. Or just do the bathroom vanity for fun and to get that leveling experience. Geez, I can't believe I paint for entertainment!

Nice, but at a meter tall? -huge.
We see more of the pink form and call it Shrimp plant, but they are only house plant size. Never did try to grow it.
I like fragrant plants, but they are hard to grow on the window sills.

A very interesting plant Bill. I'll check it out as I dont think I've
seen it before. I have no offerings but a few of the SPRING bulbs in
pots are poking their heads up!!!
