Hello Miss Gwenn, I just saw your post and was wondering if I might be able to obtain some seeds from you. Also, I was wondering whether you've been able to sprout them over there yourself. I have varying information on the timing for planting them. Some people from FL insist that they plant them as soon as they collect them, but that they could take as much as 6 months to sprout. In other places, like for example, a marketer from Canada(!), says that their seeds from Thailand could be on the shelf for 7 months and they are still viable. I, myself, have tried hundreds of seeds, and have had very minimal success. Nothing grew from the hundreds that I bought from large seed companies. I got sixty fresh seeds from Guam last Oct-2006, and just before Christmas, two sprouted. Then in Jan-2007 six more sprouted. Then through March, four more. Being in the Seattle area, it's very difficult as it is. But what made it worse was that we had power outage last winter lasting 6 days. Thank heaven for portable generators. Thank you very much. Oh my goodness thank you for posting that! Now looking at your Siamensis Ylang Ylang vine I think that's what I have! The leaves look very similar and not thick at all. But the second Ylang Ylang vine I bought a few weeks ago in SD, the seller INSISTED that it's a Hexapetalus! He said it was air layered 6 years ago and was imported from (shoot I don't remember which country!). I got two blooms from that vine and they smell just like sweet melon! So I'm so confused. But whatever ... I love them both! Wow 120 roses! Amazing. I only have about 20. All fragrant of course. But I do have around 80 plumerias. :) Funny thing... my family doesn't like Banana Shrub. They said it smells like nail polish remover. Good thing too because I don't like bananas. So I won't be getting that one. Thanks so much for sharing. I lost the cable to my camera so I still can't post my photos! :( My Madagascar Jasmine vine has some buds so I'm dying to sniff. I don't have Angel Trumpet so I will have to investigate those. I am holding off planting my two Ylang Ylang vines until I am done buying other plants. This way I will know exactly where I will plant what. Already I had to move a few plants around.

Kem, very light smell on MA, but i only have one flower at a time.. will wait for a few blooms at a time and see... Kandhi, I got from a place called lee's tropicals .. type in google and see...will have to find out the exact blooming time.. huge trees in front of our house in HYD, India.. Musaboru, hopefully the flowers will get bigger... It is off season for Jasmines now anyway.. Jack Fogg has buds.. but don't know if they are dormant or will bloom.. regards all..

Sam, I know the thrill when you see the ginger blooms 10 years later. You have more patient than I am...I only waited 6-7 year for my Staphanotis to bloom. Boy, that was a long waiting without know when is the end. Nice reward for your patient, Yey... smilacina, beautiful flower. I have been lurking at Camellia from time to time... can't decide which one to get. I like to get some with nice stronger scent and a good bloomer. Some camellia can have nice large flower but few flowers in bloom. what is your Stephanie Golden fragrance smelled like?
