Normally, I don't like Zinnias, they look like they are made from wood, but this photo is lovely, I do like the colour too.

Not much doing at the moment apart from a few cucumbers- easy to
grow if the pollinators are on the job-there always seem to be lots of female flowers and not many male and at times I have hand pollinated
and it seems to work. Mt niece has just returned from teaching in Vancouver to get married. Her sister has been teaching in central
Australia where the temp is over 40c for lots of the year and Vancouver not quite 40 below but pretty cold by our standards.

Vancouver is relatively mild compared to mid-Canada Toronto, but for some time now the winters are milder. The wind-chill is a big factor for feeling colder than it is.
My southern windowsill is filled with bougainvilleas blooming.
Makes a lovely splash of coulour.
