Carly, I own and have used that Omega grafter that comes with 3 inserts. I used it to do my first grafts. I had good success on Apple, Pear and Plum. Grafting really is pretty easy to do with a knife after a little practice, but I found the tool gave me enough of a confidence boost to get over the hump of believing grafting was something I could do. If the blades it came with were sharper I would probably warmly recommend it. As it is I'd say it works fine. It works best when stock and scion are reasonably close in size and not too big. If one is slightly bigger than the other make sure you line them up on one side rather than trying to center them. I still have mine and have been planning to sell it but haven't gotten around to it. I used it one season to do maybe a couple of dozen grafts with probably greater than 80% success using imperfect scions. Part of the reason I haven't sold it yet is because if I had a local buyer I'd just as soon teach him/her to graft with a knife. Check out Joe Real's bark grafting tutorial which I think shows the easiest way to graft for a beginner doing topwork.

Theresa, I got your plants yesterday in great shape! They're lovely! I planted them yesterday evening, and then I covered them in case of frost (it was supposed to be 35 degrees last night, but I was afraid it might get just a bit colder). Hi maureen glad you liked the seed box & I want to thank you for all the great gifts you sent to me just sorry it has taken so long to let you know . it arrived safly . for the last to days have had to go back & forth to the hospital with or for my day hes 92 & has a very bad chest cold & doc wanted to keep him for a few days says he will be home maybe fri if all is well. also been planting many many plants & trying to keep up with the trades .
