I have lost its Name

20 years ago

Could someone Please ID this tree the label is gone I will blame those pesky Ibis's

They are trying to dig up everything... I do remember it is a native of sorts as I asked advice

a while back on where to grow it, as I wanted to grow my own little rain forest.

Its the taller one on the right of the Lemon Myrtle. Thanks in advance.

Hymenosporum flavum. Looks like you will soon have a decent rainforest at the rate these are growing.

Karma is absolutely right. Too many people assign a name to their brugs just because they think it looks like variety X. Unless you know positively what variety you have it should just be called a NOID white, yellow, etc. There's nothing wrong with NOIDs and I'm not sure why so many people that aren't hybridizers are so hung up on names. I have lost this Euphorbia's nametag, anyone recognize it?

I have a similar crested Euphorbia that came tagged as Euphorbia nivulia. That plant is from India and is farmed for it's latex.. I'm not certain that is your plant, but it's close. The leaves on your plant are the same. Crests are sometimes difficult to identify. I keep mine dry in the winter and it drops all the leaves until spring. Brad

Thank you all for this information. We'll keep patient on her. The odd thing is that the cuttings I took late last autumn already leaf out a few weeks ago, and one little baby even set a flower bud. They are all outside on the ground. That makes us especially my husband ancious on the mother plant. But I assume the cuttings might go through different physiological route. Thanks Mike! I want more though... LOL. Ok I just checked the trunk and it said "PW"... no idea what that means but when I compared the leaves of the NOID to my Scentsational they are not the same. So for now it's a mystery. No inflos on that yet either... but the plant is impressively large... so maybe I'll get luck and an inflo will form soon.

Thanks Tony, yes they are all starting to fly away now, I am really pleased with the Lemon Myrtle planted 2 years next month it did not like the other part of the garden so I dug it up also the Qld Maple and moved them to this garden, still finding the golden penda and the grey myrtle very slow going but I have to remember they have only been in one year yesterday but when I look at the growth of the Firewheel tree planted the same day it makes me wonder what I am doing wrong.

Thank you too Bev I found it in my handwritten Garden book planted 5/5/05 has that shot up it was about 2ft when planted now it has to be over 8ft..I am looking forward to the flowers but I wonder when......Cheers...MM.
