This article helped me a lot in getting to know Abutilon flowers better: http://homevgarden.com/abutilon-plant-info-and-care-from-a-to-z/  I LOVE those plants.

I got a baby abutilon back in April and it's grown quite a bit and I've actually transplanted it twice since I've had it and pruned it back. It has yet to bloom which is a problem but what I'm more worried about is the new leaves. They are crinkly, and some have holes in them and brown tips. Now over the summer I've fertilized with slow release fertilizer + occasionally organic seaweed. When I first got the plant from the mail order company it had aphids so I sprayed it with homemade soap blend and it worked although I think the tips of the leaves got burnt. Does anyone have ideas by looking at the pics? Could transplant shock make the leaves look like that? Although it's been like a month since it was transplanted... Thanks! Z

it appears to be a shrub.. that peeps also bring indoors for winter ... you might want to try the houseplant forum .... for other muses ... such plants .. indoors ... might be hard to bring to flower .. unless you can give it the light it needs for flower production ... how much light will it be getting?? watering can also be tricky indoors .... as well as humidity .... based on your winter heating ... does your pot have a drain hole? did you just transplant it??? frankly .. when i bring in zone appropriate plants for winter. ... all i hope to do.. is get it thru winter ... until i get it back outside late next spring ... if in fact they bloom.. its just all gravy ... i dont really hope for it ... and dont get bummed if they dont.. but do a happy dance if i get lucky ... ken https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-care-for-abutilon-plants-3976754

Hi Popmama! It’s happening to pretty much all the leaves. They started fading soon after I separated them and repotted into a 511 mix. I did a little investigating and it may have been related to an acid/alkaline problem with the 511. I thought flushing the soil regularly would take care of the problem but no luck, they kept fading and then developed these brown spots. They’ve been outside all summer. I just put them in the garage last night. I don’t want them inside until I figure out what’s wrong and treat.
