Hi Michelle! The good news is that there are tons of apps you can use to create Mood Boards! If you use an iPad or Smart Phone, these apps are pretty user friendly and available for download right to your phone. If you prefer to use a laptop or desktop and have access to Adobe, Photoshop is what we typically use in our firm. You can also use Adobe InDesign if you choose. InDesign and Photoshop seem to allow for the most customization. If you do not have access to Adobe Suite, then we have always found success with Power Point. Google Slides is available as well, but not as customizable in my opinion. Wishing you luck in your hunt for the best app for you!

I cannot tell what's what's on your mood board, but wanted to say that the same thing happened to me when picking out white paint color for my new build. My kitchen cabinets are called Polar white. We ordered the large Samplize paint samples and compared the SW Extra White (looks a tad bluish to me), SW Pure White, BM Decorator's White, and a few other white colors to the kitchen cabinets. My kitchen designers, builder, husband and I all picked Pure White to be the best candidate. For months, I agonized over using Pure White because the samples made it look like it pulled a very pale shade of gray. While the color sample matched the cabinets, I wanted white/white on the trim all over my new home, and was afraid the Pure White would look dingy. Imagine my surprise when the inside trim was painted and it looked very white. I was pleased, but worried that my cabinets would stick out like a sore thumb. Fast forward, and SW Pure White looks fine with the cabinets. Only when there is little light in the room can I tell a difference. I doubt anyone else would know.

Funkyart, I use an iPad Pro (Pro only means it is bigger) with a keyboard, exclusively. It does not support PowerPoint. The closest Apple app is Keynote. I never could figure out how to use Keynote. I’m using the free version of Canva which does not remove backgrounds. I also take a screenshot. I haven’t been able to figure out how to save it to photos yet. Canva does allow duplication of a mood board and the ability to add and subtract elements. For example, I added the SW Alabaster background as the last thing…only because I didn’t think to do it earlier. AD, I thought a green headboard would be nice, but the homeowner (a/k/a DD) voted it down. I’m surprised I got her to agree to this much color! The room still needs a bench or a small chair. The tweed fabric you posted might work great for that! DD’s white chest is going to be painted. We will pull a color from the background of the lake picture. Without having the picture in hand, BM Caldwell Green seems to be the front runner. jojoco, an Andes mint, of course, to keep the brown and green going! tartan, love the green lamp. Regretfully, the room needs light, so whatever lamp is chosen needs to have a white or cream shade. The Emperor lamp has a gold-lined black shade that really doesn’t give off much light. I also love pleated shades. James T. Farmer uses them so beautifully in his designs, but DD is very tailored. No pleats, no ruffles, no frills. In case you are wondering about the picture, it is a nautical chart made of layers of birch. Here is one from an angle that allows you to see the detail and the depth of the picture.

To start we need pictures of the room. IMO keep the walls a neutral color and add the color in tings easily changed since he will go from favorite color to favorite color many times . IMo the picture he chose is great use the colors form that for bedding you can't go wrong. Every kid I know never uses a desk in their bedroom so maybe figure out if he wants a desk before adding one. He needs good storage for all the stuff kids collect and great layout for his closet very different for boys than girls .As for the actula style this is his space so maybe sit down and show him different styles thta he might like
