Yarrabee Gardens have good prices on quite modern irises. They DO tend to be smaller than the same iris ordered from Tempo Two in Vic. Smaller rhizomes will generally take longer to settle in and bloom, but that is not always the case.

Nooooooooo don't plant the bugga's under your roses, they will take over. We have just removed 100's of them away from the rose gardens.

I have really appreciated Yarrabee's generosity and good service. Their recent $2 sale was fabulous. The irises which arrived promptly were large and well packaged. Now I just can't wait for October! I fully recommend them.

If any of you want irises in future, I generally offer a bundle of them for postage, at the end of the bloom season, when I am digging and dividing. None left this year, but ask me around November. They are generally smaller rhizomes, or older varieties that I am getting rid of to make room for some newies. You get around 20 rhizomes for $15 postage which aint half bad :-)

I too can vouch for Yarrabee Iris's and also Sparaxis's. My daughter and I both were fortunate enough to purchase some from Sparaxis last season. They are doing extremely well.We are now waiting on the specials from Yarrabee.

Yes I have some of spraxis's irises and have also planted some in my (plant murdering)friends garden.
I have planted mine in some places near roses .I think there will be a problem in the bed that they are in but hey I will just make the bed bigger.I think it was 15 well spent.Thanks Spraxis I may even get more next time.

I got my Tempo Two catalogue and sat their drooling !!! Oh to win the lottery.

Don't plant irises - no no! The couch gets in amongst them and they are hell on wheels ; you don't want to be digging away in the rose roots! Why not plant perennial geraniums? They look really good - and work well, just shear them over during the summer and they will come again. Also nice autumn colour on some. Plant some bulbs under the geraniums and they will come up first, then the geraniums will cover the dying foliage. I promise you, it works!
