Hi Barb,

I also love the Murraya for its toughness and glossy myrtle growth habit, but they really draw the ire of the conservationists on the board. Whether the Paniculata is a 'genuine' native species (they grow throughout SE Asia, and would have been part of the land bridge to Oz) or not remains a topic for debate, but their strengths become weaknesses when they escape into bushland.

Nice photos, nonetheless.

Lovely pictures as always. Where's the tiger? We've had our pictures taken with lion cubs at Mogo Zoo and the local zoo has cheetah encounters but I've never heard of people being able to get that close to such a big cat!

Oh Barbara, how lucky you are! How wonderful to be up close and personal which such a magnificent beast. I do envy you. What a wonderful present for your husband.

Your flowers look lovely as usual. They are a very pretty flower and I would imagine would look gorgeous as a hedge.

Wonderful photos, the Bengal Tiger (I guess) really does look like royalty. Lovely shots, the Murraya is very heady in perfume, not everyone's cuppa but a pretty flower, I think.

I am rather concious of the Murraya seeds speading so, like my Duranta, I try to make sure I prune it as soon as the flowers die.
The Tigers were at Australia Zoo. I was surprised to receive some flak from friends re the tiger experience. It seems some people think Steve is exploiting the tigers. As far as I could tell the tiger enjoyed the experience, he certainly didn't seem at all upset. Most of the money we paid for the morning, goes to a wildlife fund dedicated to saving tigers in the wild, which I thought was great.
All in all, as far as I'm concerned it was a wonderful experience, my husband was absolutely wrapped once he got over his initial nerves and he wants to do it again, as now he knows what it's like, he would be more relaxed next time.
