Upside-down orchid

Thought I paste a picture of an orchid, Stanhopea tigrina, my gardening mate in Sydney gave me about 2 years ago. This is the first time it has flowered. They call it the upside-down orchid on accoint of the flower stem grows downwards! It has a very strong vanilla perfume and is sometimes called the Vanila orchid, however, the plant from which commercial vanilla comes from is the South African Polsystachya pubescens. This one, Stanhopea, is native of Mexico. The flower only lasts about 4 days and flowers only once a year. I undertand it's a bit uncommon, though I guess it would be common enough among orchid specialists.
