After a Shower of rain

We had a short shower of rain late this morning only about 2-3mm though very welcome.

So I raced out to the garden and cut of a few of the blooms as the rain always spoils them.

Thursdays Flowers:: Double and Single Gerbera, Canna lily and Dahlia.....Cheers..MM.

That's a good idea, they look lovely and fresh in your vase.
I wish we could get that shower of rain down here to freshen things up a bit. Strong hot winds yesterday, knocked a few plants around.

thanks mulio and dickiefickle I will look for the spreader sticker. we got lots of rain again last night :( Looks like I have a few days to wait. I want to keep the blight away. So far so good. I get nervous when it rains and washes away my protection. I know some of the spray stayed on because I can see some at the tips of the leaves. I guess I can wait to see what the weather will bring. I don't want to use more chemicals than I have to. Karen

Thanks Barbara, I have been reading about exposure in the new library book I just got. I dont have a lot of flowers here, just a lot of varities, Apart from 33 Roses, 21 Bougainvillea, and 14 Hibiscus. And lots of Day Lillies the rest are only one or two of everything I think. Though very colourful at different times of the year...Cheer..MM.

I can only find one review of the Brizo Siderna Rain Shower Head. Does anyone have one and what do you think? Do you have other brands of rain shower heads that you love? My plumber only likes Delta/Brizo but I'm willing to consider others if anyone has recommendations.

Agree with the above. It cannot prevent if it isn't applied and label directions cover all the aspects of application. The majority of the common tomato diseases are air borne pathogen caused, and only secondarily soil borne. So any air around the plants can possibly infect if the entire plants aren't sprayed. Dave

Margaret it has been a Bonza day here South of Brissie the heavy shower we got this morning ( Friday ) left 11mm in the Rain Gauge and we have had a few very light showers since. Yes those winds can be a killer I too hope that its cools down for you all there and its rains very soon.

GH I wonder if you are getting any of this beautiful rain also, sure hope so .....Cheers..MM.

So glad you got enough rain to leave the buckets aside for a couple of days.
We have hot dry winds here and not a cloud in the sky.

Hope everyone gets a bit of rain soon, it sure brightens things up.

Very pretty flowers MM, we need rain also we had almost 3ml last night hardly worth mentioning.
