They are very pretty MM they have the same name as Aquilegia, I don't know yours, they look nice in that border along the front of your home.

That looks like them. I used to have them in various shades of pink as well. According to my trusty (and dusty - must get stuck into the housework) book they come in white, and shades of purple, blue or pink with or without white.

Apparently are hard to find in nurseries as it is one of those plants that are handed over the back fence. It is a shame they are such a pretty little plant.

As every plant in that garden bed, came from the Sunday Markets or cuttings I grew.
It has been flowering for months, and when its stops I will cut it right back
And it will flower again for many months in the next warm season......Cheers..MM.

Is it aquilegia?. I have pink and white but love the purple MM it is so intense. I especially love them as they are hardy. I have been told they only grow from seed but is there a specuial way to collect the seed?

Jan, not Aquilegia - Angelonia. I don't have any idea why they're so expensive in nurseries, as they're one of the easiest things to strike from a cutting.

Jan, they only set seed in the warmest climates.
