Doc, That's most kind of you but I am upset with myself for it's death. I should have brought it in for a week or so. Same with my snake plants. Funny, they are still hanging on for some reason. Just setting in pots full of water. On another plant I lost last year, Russ came thru with a nice Xanadu yellow form. And a tri-leaf plant I was looking for since I was 8 years old. Or I had one when I was 8 and never saw another one. And that nice Echevieria you gave me last year needs be-headed. just hate to do it. Hope I don't kill it. It looks like an Echeveria imbricata, especially since its tips are pinkish

After the wound occurred, the plant's internal water pressure forced sap to leak from the wound. When the sap was exposed to air, the water in the sap evaporated and left behind all that was dissolved in it. Maple syrup is a product of sugar maple sap with a large fraction of water boiled off to concentrate the sugars and other sap contents. As water continues to evaporate from maple syrup, it turns to maple sugar. What you are seeing on your plant leaf is a combination of all the solids that were dissolved in the sap, left behind after the water evaporated. Al

That's an echeveria? Echies are supposed to look a rosette shape, and yours is stretching up like that because it does not have enough light. Any possibility of a brighter window location? Echeverias often lose lower leaves as they grow, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Light is your problem. And possibly your pot..... I prefer a straight sided terracotta pot to the style you are using. I hope your pot has a hole in the bottom for drainage because that is the best condition for any plant, to have that excess water drainage benefit.
