talk to the council - most councils have morning glory listed as a nasty weed.

or talk to the cops - tell them you are worried that local kids may learn or realise that morning glory is very hallucinogenic (and poisonous) and start using it.

I sympathise with your predicament.

I would definately talk to the weed officer at the local council. They would come out and take a look, and make an assessment as to what can be done. I dont see that it would matter that you are not the owner, you have some rights as the tennant. Maybe you could elaborate a bit, saying the weed is creating a haven for rats, dogs, cats etc, be imaginative, drug users.

Maybe you could also consult with your landlord, as the potential for this weed to invade his property is very real, and it will be a maintenance problem for him/her if it becomes worse, and could devalue his property.

You could try scraping and paint the tendrils that come over your side, that could knock it back.

I can see potential morning glory problems in my neighbourhood. It is really taking over, and if you dont deal with it in the early stages of invasion it can be a nightmare to eradicate when it takes a hold.

that is bad - health inspector is the go - tell them you've had rats coming into your garden (there doesn't have to be any - but that should get things going)
