yes use it the moulds are just part of the decomposition process and won't clash with what occurs in the garden.

Hi Len. I was planning to wear a dust mask if I did anything with these bags. Would that be enough? Any chance I could spread puffballs over my yard and the neighbours? We've had a couple of varieties over the years. Browny-orangy ones over a wide area that look like small rocks until the hose happens to hit them and a brown cloud rises. More recently white ones in a specific area that look like the regular ones but turn to dust when you try to pick them out. I try to get along with the living things in my garden but some things are a bit too icky.

for your own protection you could wear a face mask, that is if you have allergies to think of.

my gardens have always got some sort of mould growing when you water and it hits them their spore flies up a bit but that is the natural world, once that material has broken down it won't support any if much fungus, but your new organic material will.

i wouldn't be too worried.
