amanda has pink, i forgot to write that i have Schlumbergera's in red, peach and pink already. i can share some leaves (not rooted) bluepoppy1 if you have some colors i don't have yet. i was looking for some from the Brazil series and i don't have any yellow or white yet.

If your soil is brick-like, you'll likely need to soak the whole rootball for a while, to help soften up that old soil so you can break it all apart & crumble off every last bit of it. The plant will be fine, they're pretty tough survivors even tho' they may not look it. I make a mix of roughly 1/3 each Potting (or African Violet) soil, Perlite & ReptiBark (from the Pet Store), drains well to allow for deep watering. I'd repot it all dry, wait a day & then water well.

Maybe the Epi forum can help you, you might try posting this there. Epis can be hard to ID from the start, w/out a picture, maybe they'd be able to guess better.

Let them flower and then do the dirty!! I have repotted and chopped, but the best results I saw came from old plants. Dead easy. Just take a piece at least 2 sections long, you can dry out a bit first, and then repot into pots or baskets. I have a broken bit from an old plant which is flowering away on the potting table. When it finishes I'll take cuttings. As long as you keep new ones it won't matter when the old ones die off. Mine wither and rot at the base.
