I would love some Thai Basil Seeds too. Would you be interested in tomato, pepper, or nasturium seeds in exchange?

What kind of seeds are you looking for specifically? Most vegetable seed vendors carry culinary herb seeds as well. If medicinal herbs, try Richters and Horizon Herbs. I grow holy basil. Like sweet basil, I direct sow it into fertile garden beds. Grows wonderfully. I've had the best results with seed I've gotten from Horizon Herbs. FataMorgana

Holy basil/Tulsi seed should be fairly easy to locate. I've seen it listed by many suppliers. Tulsi plants are highly frost-sensitive. They can be grown outdoors as annuals - similar to other types of basil. But if you live in a location that gets frosts and you want to grow yours as a perennial, you'll have to grow it in a container that you can move indoors BEFORE first frost. We've found that growing basil indoors in the winter in typical home conditions to be a challenge. Basil needs a LOT of light to grow properly (at least 6 hours of GOOD light), and it also suffers in the typically low humidity in heated homes. But it can be done if you pay attention to conditions.

Thanks ykerzner, Just reasearched Sacred Basil. One site says,"Ocimum Sanctum: Sacred basil (Holy basil, Tulsi) This plant is known as Tulsi in Sanskrit, which means âÂÂthe incomparable oneâÂÂ. As an important symbol in Hindu religious traditions it is worshiped and used in various religious rituals. Similar in looks and growth habit to the culinary basil, Sacred Basil has a more pungent aroma...." Regarding the "pungent" part, if you crush it in your hands is it overpowering or just a nice strong fragrance? Thanks, Bob
