trichocereus peruvianus, lophophora williamsii

i was wondering if anyone could tell me the best soil mix for growing trichocereus peruvianus. i live in tropical north queensland. my mate also wants to know the best soil mix for lophophora williamsii.

Cacti of just about all persuasions like a very well drained soil. They also don't like much organic matter in the soil.

You can actually buy premixed soils from any good nursery.

If you want to make your own, there are many many different recipes. All based on good drainage. This year I myself have used a mix of 2/3 decomposed granite that has been washed to remove the very fine clayish particles, and 1/3 normal dirt from under the lawn.

Hi, I have performed a graft of a Lophophora Williamsii onto a Trichocereus Pachanoi about four days ago. It has sealed together but there are red marks around the egdge of the seal on the Trichocereus Pachanoi. Is this natural growth or is it rot/infection. If so what can I do save the graft. It is unconstitutional for Federal Police to do anything concerning drugs or potential drugs in the States except to prevent them entering the country (and possibly crossing state boundaries). Drug possession, trafficking, etc comes under State jurisdiction. Victoria has a clear precedent that it is not illegal to grow plants that have a potential to be used as drugs.
