Ryan, that Stapelia is one of my favorites, with that fur (somewhat like on a vulture's neck~LOL). I haven't seen it bloom for a while now, but did check yesterday & see I still have some of the plant left. I had several Huernia & Piaranthus that rotted out before I ever got blooms from them to ID. That's a bummer! I will have to take more care on the next ones. On the Cactus Shades... great idea!!! :D Look for an email from me, Ryan, so I can get your snail mail address to send them to you! I'll set up a post about it once I've mailed them off. You'll have to send them to Jessica next! I think what I'll do is see who is interested...in the separate post & then gather snail mail addresses. We'll try to keep the shades in the same box for traveling (sturdy enough not to break these things-sm enough not to cost too much postage) & maybe a small notebook to serve as a log ("guest book"?). Each person will take a pic of themselves with the shades & post the pic. Each will record their username on GW, real name (if you want), place where pic is taken (city/state/country/whatever location) & date, and send along to the next GW'er. We'll see how far it travels & how long it takes!! Are you game??? Thank you, Ronda! I am lucky to live in a place that offers such a wide variety of succulents for my pickings! Many times, the coloring I get in my plants is attributed to neglect...or what I like to call their "California tan"! Many are stressed plants. Some folks frown on that. I wish ALL folks could find all these plants! Best I can do is share my pix of them. =) I have been cheating using pix I took long ago, rather than processing the new pix. (I have over 50,000...and time is limited!) Again, I must run!

Hi Nikki, in answer to your ? on the other thhread, yes I am fine thanks and trust you are too!! You have some great plants there, I really like your Hummels. Mine lost the colourful variegation it had last year when young and is now an overall colour. My two big jades have almost finished their annual flowering and look rather colourful themselves. I will get round to taking some pics of mine and do a thread in the next day or so...I have one day off in the next 11 so goodness knows when that will be! I agree that family/visitors often don't appreciate my plants either, they think I've lost the plot especially as I grow palms, adeniums, brugs and other tropicalesque stuff. Weather been crazy up here here today, horizontal snow for 10 hours, no electric in next village, roads near here blocked, but it's freezing now so it'll be ice in the morning no doubt. Last week it was shorts weather, temp 24c in shade and 36c in full sun!!! Mad English weather eh? Cheers, Gill (from the UK of course!!)

This is the SIlver Dollar Jade (C. Arboresens) you talked about, right? (With sunburned Crassula ovata Hobbit behind it) Also, while I browse my old picture, I think I actually have the wavy leaf (Blue Bird) version of C. Arborescens? I have attached a picture from last summer, you can see the younger C. Arborenscens with wavy leaf. (Top of the three) And the younger C.Arborenscens (Silver Dollar Tree - right bottom one) in the picture too. Wish any of you can share a matured C. Arborescens 'Blue Bird' to see if it keeps the wavy leaves when it grows up. :)

Impressive list. And you probably have few of some/each? Mostly of what I would like to have - I have only 'run-of-the-mill' plants. But happy as long as they are happy. I just started on similar list...thank you for posting - gives me little nudge to finish. Rina
