Farsighted, Your plant here looks pretty healthy to me. I think you were right in saying that the dwarf variety grows slowly. I have a non dwarf Tahitian planted in the ground for a few years already. The first couple of years, it didn't grow too much and it didn't bear fruit. This year being its third year planted, it is showing a little more growth and is fruiting now. Last year, it also flowered, but the blooms all dropped except for a couple which carried themselves to fruition. So, with my own limited experience, I think this variety is not a fast grower. That said, you have nothing to worry too much about your plant. It's a healthy looking dwarf, so it looks like you're doing all the right things to feed and water it. The only thing though about citrus fruit trees is that they don't like wet feet and over watering or mulching especially around their trunk. Lots of sun is good for them. Hi funnelweb..no the woodchip hasnt completely broken down but is pretty moist...also mixed in some soil. I don't have any other compost at present..early stages in the garden...will have to pick some up. Could you tell me how dynamic lifter is different to B&B....the strengths in using one over the other in specific applications? Arthurm...ta...yes i had a closer look and it definitely is leaf miner...I'm not to worried about the aesthetics as long as they are not detrimental to the life of a young plant...i'm watching it closely and hoping it doesn't spread to the whole plant. Holding off on the snips for now. :)

Yellowing of leaves and cupping both point to overwatering. The root tips start to rot and cannot take up nutrients. I would pull the tree out of the pot, brush/rinse off the soil and inspect the roots well for any mushy tips. Prune those off and repot, watering only when the soil several inches down is dry. I'm not sure where you are but here in Southern California, I haven't watered in several weeks, the soil in my containers being plenty moist. Under watering will show by the leaves being shriveled, and the leaves will return to normal several hours after good soaking.

I re-potted my seed grown sweetlee tangerine at this comparable time of the year. I placed it in shade. for about 2 weeks and introduced it to sun light as the days got shorter. It didn't take long before the increase in light matched the length of day. It did very well. I ruffed up the few roots that were beginning to wrap.
