Those are darling!!! I hadn't checked this site for a long time and then yesterday I was looking for directions for a pot person and this was one of the sites that came up. Then I saw the wonderful tipsy pots!!! I live in west TX, too, and am wondering how they will stand the wind. My husband bought me a piece of re-bar today and now I am waiting for him to either cut it or find my wire so I can get started on one of these projects! I have an old cane bottom rocking chair that the seat is bad in and I am going to put the pot man in that. Will set it next to my pond and give the pot man a bamboo pole so it looks like he's fishing. I hope it turns out as good as some of the ones I've seen on here!! Jan

Hey Magimay~~ Check your local nurseries. I visit a nursery here frequently, mostly to look and see what I need to add to my wish list. They don't grow their own stuff. So they don't need the pots. Every so often, they compost some of the plants and they throw out all the pots. This guy stacks them up by the dumpster and I can carry home as many as I want for FREE. He's grateful not to have them filling his dumpster. And I get them in all sizes from the little 2" pots and six packs all the way up to huge tree size. The huge tree size ones make great pots just to dump your potting soil in. And I use an ice scoop to scoop it out as I pot stuff. Get two of the huge heavy duty pots and turn one upside down, and sit the other on top of it to put your soil in. No back breaking bending that way. Hope this works for you. Casper

The Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad is what I bought ( it is a12 pc). It is rated on Amazon as right up there with All-Clad but much less expensive. I wish I could tell you they are wonderful but they are awaiting my new kichen stored in a box in our garage. I am going to fill the set in with some All-Clad though. I just couldn't swallow the more than a grand price tag that went with the big set. Repac try using Barkeeper's Friend on the pasta pot. I use it all the time on my few stainless pieces and also use it on my ss sink at my other house. It really is marvelous.

the issue in my MI is water accumulating in a frozen pot ... and freezing the roots into an ice cube ... roots need air as much as anything else ...\ when the ground freezes ... just lay the pots on their sides.. so water cant get in the top .. if the pot is stuck to the ground.. do not kick it.. unless you have steel toed boots on ... all the better if they get covered by snow ... the trick is get them dormant.. and keep them dormant ... in the garage or pole barn.. they might come out of dormancy up to a month early.. which is a problem if they leaf out months too soon ... you can put them in the garage for the worst of jan and feb.. and then throw them outside in mid to late march if you want to avoid early leaf out ... where in MI. just curious.. ken btw .. buying late season bargain at big box can le3ad to other issues ... is the stock has been at the store since spring.. but those issues might be blamed on winter..
