I've seen several different types of Yuccas. Mine are the tropical tree type. I believe what you are looking for. I have several. One is 10 ft. tall and I don't know where I am going to put it!!! I am not sure of the type you are looking for. If it is what you are looking for let me know. Thanks, Julie :)

Link did not register. Here we go. Here is a link that might be useful: Yucca recurvifolia variegata

Seems to be fairly hardy in this area. If your site too windy big leaves flopping around might get tiresome or actually be torn, I suppose, although I have not seen it damaged by wind myself. Sunset WESTERN GARDEN BOOK, although rating it for south of here only (Sunset 7 and up) says "Easy to grow under all garden conditions". A garden designer I know was going to use it for pots in a formal place way out on the fringe (Issaquah or farther) some years ago. Haven't heard how it worked out, but the point is he thought it would work for that use.

Hi Donald, I have seen those pics and I also posted my same Yucca photo there, but not much reply. I don't know why a yucca in New York is more of a surprise than one in Rhode Island, but apparently my success is unremarkable. In any case I enjoy my plant and that's what it's all about.
