If you do it an anything but white, that will affect the guality of the light that comes in. If that doesn't bother you, then go for a color, but if you don't want the quality of light that comes into your green bathroom to be really green, for example...white is probably best.

Generally skylights are bought to fit between the framing members such as 16" OC or 24" OC. So as not to make a huge project out of it, unless money is not a consideration. I always wonder why bedroom natural light is so important. I spend all my time except for sleeping in the rest of the house not my bedroom . I happen to like a nice darker bedroom for sleep and so have never felt like i want to lay in bed in the morning staring at the light through a skylight.I for sure get them in living spces with poor natural light.
