Thanks! I wish I knew all the names ... alas, I'm just not that dedicated and organized! However, they all came from Oakes Daylilies ... a FANTASTIC supplier. Their stuff blooms the same year I plant it every time! I do know a few of the varieties shown: Chicago Gold Coast (the really bright orange ones) Eye-Yi-Yi (the orange with red ring inside) Rooten' Tooten' Red (dark red) Stella d'Oro (small yellow) Lady Georgia (pale peach) Good Impression (large yellow) Carefree Peach (peach/rose eyezone) Pardon Me (burgundy/greenish eye) I usually get one of Oakes' many collections and am NEVER disappointed. It does look like something you could make but then $20 and it's done or a few bucks and you're working it out. I think I'll spend the $20. ;-) Thanks for the info on the birds. That explains the perching vs. flying behavior I saw. I have so much to learn about them. I don't even know if I can get winter ones where I am. Glenda I wanted to thank you for the info on the rose. It will be nice to know that I can look forward to a long lasting rose bush. I took that shot in morning light and the rose had only just begun opening. I think it will fade more to the silver lavender you talk about as it ages. Flowerlady as always your comments are as sweet and pleasant as your gardens. Thank you very much, you are a dear. :-) You should see us with those hummingbirds, we (DH and I) are like a couple of kids hopped up on candy bars and soda with the way we keep running around trying to get the "perfect shot". When my mother died, I had a slide show made of pictures that started with one of her and her mother when mother was only a few months old. Others, as she grew up, married, had us kids, and several events with friends, were all put in chronological order. The show was set up in the entry of the church...and there was no music. Didn't need it. Her cousins, friends, and their children all enjoyed seeing pictures of themselves much younger and having fun. Music would have drowned out their remarks that celebrated mom's life.

Very nice and pretty. Show me this again in July. I'm sure I'll appreciate more then. Leslie
