I love the sunrise shots.It's amazing how beautiful they can be, and how quickly they go.

Sambac, I couldn't take decent photos in the sunroom, so tried the bedroom, and then the bathroom (I'm not a very good photographer). Yes, they were hanging on a light fixture.:) They'e now happily back on the sunroom. I hope Motes still has those coeruleas... Carol

Big oops! This is not the above but in fact Rhyncovanda Colmarie. I don't know how this mistake (which goes back to the nursery/importer) was made. Incorrect ID is a big problem here. Maybe it's why I didn't win, but none of the judges corrected the mistake. In fact it was someone on Flickr. - Ian.

Sunday after a thunderstorm rolls through just after sundown the sky is red (above). The next day, Monday, same thing, and the sky turns gold. Same street, same sun, two storms, same time, totally different hue. Funny how that works.

I hate living in town. Takes away a lot of opportunity for pictures like these. Great photo. I am going to go hiking more often and hope for better photo opportunities. (have a lot of flowers in my yard, but sunsets are obstructed by houses.) Wish sunrises and sunsets did last longer. They are nearly always beautiful.
