Kinda interested in a camera binocular. Been looking a bit online at a few ( 10 x 25's ) and noticed they all list a "fixed lens". I understand what a fixed lens is, but am wondering what the lens is "fixed" on: is it a reflection of the magnified view I am seeing in the eyepiece, or what the camera sees irrespective of my magnification? I'm beginning to get the impression that many of these binocams are not much more than toys. I'm sure there are a few that are capable of good quality photos, but putting out the dollars for a high end one is out of the question. I've almost got myself talked into digging out my old long lens 35mm camera. Any thoughts?
