Thanks! The roofers don't care; they insist I paint it and have the painter deal with it. The sheet metal guy mentioned something about "due to the size of the chimney vs the sheets of copper, I'd have a seam...And I don't want a seam". Others have advised stainless also due to "water wash off" from the copper, which will "bleed" green all over my nice soon to be newly painted chimney & new white tile roof. Susan, I'm so curious to know what color you ended up going with! I have Arizona Flash (though I am not entirely sure whether it is their Flash White or Flash Ivory since both lines have a some color variations, which I love). I am know tryin to choose a paint color for cabinets. It seems all the painters in this area (Fort Worth/Dallas area) prefer to use Sherwin Williams but I'm leaning toward Ben Moore White Dove so I guess I may have to have it color matched. Anyway, would love to hear what you went with and what your thoughts are after having lived with it for a bit. :)

Mine are all scanned. The only non-digital records I keep are the kind which one needs the originals of - death certificates; passports; signed copy of Trust or other estate matters. Are you worried about capital gains taxes on sale of the house - i.e. proving your expenses to offset the gain?

@cat_ky thank you, the skylight is new and so is flashing. I do not want to pay for something that is not needed, I am curious whether based on the process of replacing the roof the flashing and the skylight need to be removed
