kathleen, they are regular sized bulbs that you use in your lamps. You used to could get them at Family Dollar Store 4/$1.00, but the price may have gone up since everything else has. Over on crafts & decorations forum they had a gingerbreadman, Santa & I think snowman, there was lot of activity over there last fall & winter, kind of slow for last few months so go back to Sept-Dec. posts for the lightbulbs, I painted a pumpkin,the leaves were on the metal part, seems like there was a ghost. I have a red painted bulb & can't remember what that was but I did get the bulb ready so it must have been cute, will have to go back there. I think the snowman was a round over mirror bulb about 3 in wide! it was adorable! Jan

I didn't even use alcohol on 2 bulbs I've started. 1 orange ! white. I did wash them tho. I put coat of orange on & go to bed, get up & put 2nd coat in morning & 3rd that night 3 coats is all it's getting! White 1 needs another coat at least. Going to be skull, I hope! The paint will come off if you don't let it get really dry. Also if you are doing it slowly & going back over it several times. We were warned at class not to be going back over the glass as it makes paint come off. also what are you putting on paint with, I use a Jen black foam brush & wash it out, stand up in jar after washing it out with soap also. A painting brush leaves more marks on the bulbs. Alcohol might not get film off a bulb, wash it with soap, maybe Windex glass cleaner & dry with towel. A bulb is usually in lamp or fixture for several yrs before burns out. Could get pretty filmy in all that time. a quick swipe with dust cloth might even make film worse, Pledge & such is wax. That is why I wash in soap & hot water.And Windex. Hope this helps! Jan

joy20, all your appliances will have spec sheets and your contractor/cabinet builder should be fully aware of the specs(measurements for depth and width) and if you are having inset doors, they need to accommodate for the doors shutting flush within the cabinet box by building the cabinet box deeper...this is so simple, but critical if they screw it up. Most spec sheets only allow for "overlay doors" - doors that close on the outside of the box, not into it...make sure your carpenter takes this into account! labradoodlemom, benjamin moore's coppermine is the red cabinet...the white cabs are custom to match our trim, but very close to Sherwin Williams Navajo white 6126 Good luck!
