I finally recieved my order of Perwoll Black Magic. I was happy with the results, my clothes came out clean and maybe even a bit darker than when they went in. I only noticed a few suds on the surface of the glass door of my front loader. Measuring is kinda difficult, the cap doesn't have increments on it - and the instructions give you the 'dose' in ml for three levels of dirt, and three levels of water softness. I have soft water - and used a cap and a half and was happy with the result. I will probably just use a capfull from now on. Seems expensive, but so is replacing faded clothes. I'll be looking for a better deal than what I got from Amazon. Kroger does special orders, so I hope i can get it from them. Oh - and the Persil link...both perwoll and Persil are made by the same company. Perwoll is their product for delicate washings...sorta like woolite is here. Hope that helps. -Noah. p.s. I did not detect any odor on my clothes after they came out of thy dryer as one poster on Amazon mentioned. It may be that the front loader rinses so well.

I have moderately hard water and a 4.3 cf LG. I do similar to what larsi does. Lowest doses on liquids, and then I have a 2 tbsp coffee scoop that I use for powders, but then add a little STPP to help soften the water. If it's a particularly dirty load, I might increase the dose 50%. Depends on the detergent as well. My worry is that the latest washers use so little water, and that it won't dissolve well..plus I like to minimize detergent residue on clothing and the washer
