Welcome!! Noid means no ID. A plant from the big box stores has no name and can be shared with others but not named by you and traded. I ran into a woman who bought all kinds of noids and gave them cute names. This is the wrong thing to do because AV's are to be registered and named by the hybridizer only. There are over 14,000 registered varieties, so you can imagine the confusion naming a noid could cause. I number my noids and do trade them to others, some hobbists won't trade them at all. Visit the African Violet Society and check out the photos if you aren't familiar with it, you'll be amazed how fantastic the varieties are. www.avsa.org is the addy.

Welcome juanh! Sounds like you made some great choices in your selection of brugs. Your Miss Emily is gorgeous. She is a great plant, isn't she, and can you believe the size of those blooms?? Karyn - I'm probably just oversensitive on how I say things. I'm in the south and folks are always making fun of my accent. (even other southerners!) LOL. I just wanted to make sure when I was in public and said "Its a noiiiiiiiidddd y'allllllllllll that at least I had the pronunciation right!!! Go ahead and laugh Kylie - I am! LOL

Lainey, Very pretty! I have several of them but am not in bloom season so will happily live vicariously through yours for now! Hopefully you have a list so you can narrow down your NOID's from suggestions. My first impression of your #2 was Elegant Candy.
