I would try relaxing in the various positions that I intend to watch TV at and stare at the wall. Wherever it's most comfortable would be where I'd put it. Forget the rules, do what works for you. How about on the ceiling directly above the bed? Well, that might a bit dangerous, but I bet it would be comfortable. Personally, I loath having a TV in the bedroom. For me bedrooms are for sleeping, reading, and "other" activities with the missus. We had a TV in the bedroom many years ago and we both found it annoying when the other was watching TV. Now the TV's are restricted to the family room and the TV room only.

I have french doors at the end of my dining room, and no matter what the color of the drapes, they are going to look like a big blob when closed. You might consider mixing the drapes with patterned or textured blinds, in which case you could open the drapes most of the time, particularly when you were in there. Or if you are handy, sew a patterned panel into the bottom of the drapes. But no matter how you slice it, closed long drapes are a big blob of something on a wall. If it were me, I'd spend the money on blinds for the windows and mix them with the current drapes. Another option I considered for privacy was fake or real stained glass inserts.

Pull the sofa off the window wall and center it to the fireplace wall itself. right now it looks like someone shoved it against the wall... Then add a sofa table behind it with some decor. take the tv OFF THE FIREPLACE.. and mount it to the wall across from the big window wall. take down the orange/brown curtains they really dont go. Limewash or whitewash the fireplace and add a nice mantel. You could also afford to pull the sofa away from the fireplace wall add an area rug. Here is my kinda sorta pic for you...

Since the digital frame stays where it is, I would skip any art on the big wall. I think your chandelier is an awesome focal point and art may distract from it. Or you could hang a large horizontal mirror on the big wall.  However, some people hate watching themselves in a mirror while they eat (my mother, for example). What bothers me the most is the chair squashed in the left corner. Can you move it up to the table with the others, or angle it in either the left or right corner, or remove it from the room altogether and center the remaining chair on the far side of the table, or remove two chairs from the room leaving just four chairs?
