Casey, Presidents Choice has a new commercial out now, and it's in Newfoundland. I can see some of the colourful houses in the background and think of you every time I see it. Bud and Roxie were both in the cabinet the other day, but by the time I got my camera, Roxie had jumped down. So Bud is the highlight here.

Except for the vegetarians at the party nearly everyone tried the zombie arms. In past years I would make 2 tenderloin "arms" and would use chicken wings for the fingers, and often they'd be gone even before all the guests had arrived. This year I used 4 tenderloins, and cut one up to make the hands. I also made my truly deviled eggs, and set them out, turned to get the camera and already a couple were gone. meanwhile in the other room the witch sisters were getting no takers for their unicorn soup and hot toaddys.

Annie, My brother and I were in Prague years ago, and were in the square in front of that clock. He handed me his camera saying he was having trouble lining up the shot of the clock through the viewfinder with his glasses on, asking if I could take the picture. I took the camera, looked through the viewfinder, and <click> took the picture. At which point the camera started rewinding because it had reached the end of the roll. My brother then said, "No I meant when the clock stares ringing, which was less than a minute away, and the animated figures start coming out and moving around. " I think we didn't have another roll of film with us, and so I had completely missed the shot he wanted.

Unfortunately, we can't keep the kitty, although she is doing a very thorough job of worming her way into my heart. We travel a lot and will be gone for four months early next year. She is a doll - very calm yet playful, confident, friendly and smart as a whip. She loves shoes and is currently sleeping with her head inside of one of my Sketchers. I can't imagine she'll have a hard time finding a home. I put up posters around town and posted her to two local FB groups, but not a nibble. Taking her to our local (no kill) shelter in the morning before I get anymore attached than I already am!

A photo of my Mom and Dad. Mom is 88 today, Dad was 97 last week. The picture was taken in Sept. on their 64th wedding anniversary. We were going to have a family get together for their anniversary but Mom said, "Nah, wait a year until it's 65 then we'll have something to celebrate."

Ronf, your parents look great. What a great thing, for them to have each other and you to have them for this long. It doesn't happen that often. Your Mom is wrong. Every year should be a celebration.
