Ron, your parents don't look their ages at all! Guess you and your brother didn't give them a hard time growing up. ;-) These zinnias were supposed to be cream-colored, not the color of a school bus! Another GardenWeb member planted a packet of the seeds, from the same seed company, and got the same results. We wrote to complain, but were told, "We only discuss soybeans and corn." They were serious, but I thought it made a funny story.

Happy Anniversary Moni and Jerry! mcscippy, is that pup a border collie? It sure is pretty! All the pictures are great. This is my favorite thread, although I rarely post. Vicky....I never tire of seeing everyones beautiful photos...heres a pretty Yellow Hibiscus from campus. They are so pretty. The windstorm on Sunday destroyed the plants so I'm very glad to have gotten a few photos of them..... ~Kathy~

Casey, I just remembered--it's a Long-Legged Fly. They tend to be very small and often metallic. I looked up hoverfly to see if that was another name for the same thing, but they appear to be more striped.

I like all of them, but have to say that Gazania's view is absolutely Beautiful and I would love to see more pictures of her yard too !

Sox, ronm80 and lavon46....Thank you so much for the compliments. You really don't want to get me started with my 'yard' pics. But since you asked, here is a little collage. This wet warmer than normal spring, hot summer and dry past month has made it hard to keep my dozen or so small beds in good shape this year. I garden from a scooter with a little help from hubby who mainly keeps the edges neat.

Living in the desert, we just dont see such beautiful green, plush gardens anywhere around here ! I would LOVE to walk barefoot in your grass :-)
