Oct. 5, 2008 - What is everyone working on?

As it usually happens, the Guild Quilt Show gets me "itchin' to stitch!" This week I have been working on 2 projects:

~ a 9-patch scrappy baby quilt quilt from my Marsha McCloskey book - today I'm sewing the rows already! Baby is due in December, I think.

~ practicing sashiko Japanese embroidery; I love the stitch designs and it is pretty easy, just a running stitch; a vendor at our show had all I needed to get started, thread, needles, printed panel and I ordered a used book on sashiko from Amazon.

Next up, another Bubble quilt to put in my Etsy shop and maybe a top for me with sashiko trim - then there are quite a few UFOs too.

So, what are you currently working on? Items for holiday giving, bags, baby gifts, special quilts?

Isn't this a lovely design combining quilting and sashiko?
