Yes, Pippimac, you can get the zoodoo finished here in Seattle. They call the product, "Bed Spread," which doesn't quite have the same zeitgeist/je n'est sais quoi quality to my mind. And you're right, it isn't the cheapest, but it is fun to tell little ones the source of the compost. I'm planning to use it on my Tigerella and Green Zebra tomatoes to emphasize the whole jungle/animal theme. Fun in the garden! Rain

Linda, I love your horses!! I have one - my girls and I named her Bessie - that has sat out in my flower bed for a couple years, patiently waiting for inspiration to strike me. And now I think, thanks to your horse, it has bashed me in between the eyes!!! I do have some jewelry I've gotten at the Goodwill, that I know she needs to wear, a gorgeous triple strand of pearls that has to be some type of bridle and some funky, huge clip earrings, etc. I'm so excited now! I need to decide what to put on her body, but now I have a direction to go - thank you, thank you!!!

What a wonderful day you and your group had, Raven! Thank you for sharing it with us. Looks like you did a great job of getting it all together, too. I love your pictures, especially the zebra. He almost looks like he was painted. I never realized their stripes are so definite, doesn't look like there is a hazy edge anywhere on him. All the pictures you posted are great, so sharp and clear, but that zebra really caught my eye. It's been probably around 45 years since I last visited a zoo, I would love to see one like this, where the animals have lots of space. Glad Marilyn was able to join y'all, too. Wouldn't it be great if she inspired some of your group to get involved with animals that need help? Rusty

My purple iris and some of my Amaryllis are in bloom in my bulb garden. 2 mothers and 2 babies. Baby Zebra nursing. Bayou wildlife zoo.
