Me, in 1983 at an art installation on the Loyola Marymount College campus by one of my art teachers, Slater Baron, also known as the "Lint Lady". Slater and her lint creations were featured on several TV shows of the time, like Real People, That's Incredible and the local news. She and I are still in touch to this day.

The installation was called, "The 6:00 O'Clock News" and that is a lint creation of her mother, who was suffering from Alzheimer's at the time, sitting next to me on the lint sofa.

Jodi--I saw Huell Hower's program about the lint artist. It's funny, often when I clean the dryer's lint trap, I feel like I should find out where to mail the lint, especially if it is a good color! Thanks for the picture.

Sock, every single time I've cleaned my lint trap since 1982 (when I first met Slater), I sing to myself, "save it for Slater, save it for Slater". :-)

I'd forgotten she was ask featured on Huell "that's A-MAZZZ-ING!" Howser's show.
