Catalina Island, CA - Avalon Harbor, 26 miles off the coast of Southern CA last Sunday (3.16.08).

DD and I went on a whale watch. The ocean was very rough. After trying without success to find whales, the captain insisted we get off the boat at Avalon and enjoy what was left of the day.

Sure doesn't look bad out at sea, but trust me, it was horrible. Half the boat got off ill when we arrived at Avalon early in the trip, the rest of us continued on until the captain said "no more."
