It really is a mess Ron....but, hundreds of thousands of folks all around us are still without power and necessities. The peeps in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky (and other places) are in perilous conditions too. We have heat and food and water....so we are good (and so thankful)........

Yep Linda....the temp here is supposed to reach above 40 today and that means a whole lot to the utility workers....good and bad. The ice will melt and allow them to reach areas they couldn't get to before but on the flip side it also means the trees that are ice covered will snap back when the ice melts meaning the power lines may be torn down again.........

Beautiful pictures, makes me so thankful I live in Mississippi. 2 or 3 days of snow every 10 years is about all we can handle. Ya'll stay warm and safe.

Kat, reminds me of the 2007 ice storm in Tulsa. It looked just like that for weeks.

Carol, how precious. I keep thinking Jake can't get any cuter, but he just keeps on. How does he like being a big brother. I'm sorry I don't remember your grand daughter's name. She's going to look so much like Jake. ...so sweet..

Her name is Mio. She and Jake really do look alike, don't they.
DS says Jake has had a period of adjustment but is getting better.
