Thunderbird & emoticons

I use thunderbird & for awhile all my emoticons both incoming & my sending are broken or just like this :(

I know these aren't important but I sometimes like to use them.

Any ideas what is wrong & how to fix it if possible?

    Found this solution at Kioskea.net It gives step-by-step instructions with screen shots. Maybe it will solve your problem.

    �Open Thunderbird
    �Click on Tools> Options
    �Move to the "Display" tabs
    �In the "Plain Text Messages" section
    �Check the box next to "Display emoticons as graphics"

    Thanks for the help Tulsarose. I looked & it is already checked. I did get them back when I did an update. I'm glad to have them back.
