You know I posted on the other thread but must have forgotten to hit enter ;-).. THanks for asking. At the last minute we had enough sign up to bring main dishes (surprise surprise), so I made some Irish soda bread! Amazingly easy and VERY tasty! It was hard eating all that "green" food in one meal, your plate looked kind of funny. But we've decided to do monthly potlucks (with themes). Next month is baseball home opener, so out theme will be Baseball of course! Vickey-MN

Few things Bill: 1) Despite the various window offerings, Sunirse makes one door that they sell with their base model along with the Vanguard and Restorations. No differences. 2) Yes, the frame is mechanically fastened, but the panels are welded. This is a debated topic among pros, but I prefer a welded frame for long term performance. The primary CON of a welded frame is in handling and transportation, but from a homeowner's perspective that is really of no concern to you. 3) Yes, I'd say that the Okna door is heavier... and more heavily weatherstripped. Its a bit of a tank actually-- in a good way. 4) Homeguard has options that are both welded and KD (knocked-down/mechanically fastened)
