Candida Albicans (Yeast overgrowth) anybody?

I took some antibiotics 3 months ago and have been miserable since (seriously, the worst 3 months of my life)... problems with constipation and other stuff I won't mention here. Anyhow I did go to a Gastroenterologist who told me that Candida is never a problem unless it affects the lady parts, so she did not believe that Candida was my problem... she suggested I have a colonoscopy. Did that and all is okay.

I've been aware of this environmental doctor who treats for Candida and since I had these recent problems as well as lots of other symptoms so I went to him yesterday. Insurance won't cover it... but at this point I don't care. I just want to feel "normal" again. He spent over 2 hours with me asking questions, having me do certain balance tests (I did poorly on those), that sort of thing. I go back next week for the expensive candida skin test (which takes 2 hours). IF I have this (which he assumes I do) I'll be put on Nystatin and candida allergy shots if I need those, plus I'll follow a sugar and yeast free diet.

So.. just wondering if anyone here has dealt with Candida and if treatment helped you?
