My fudge pie was stolen!

and guess who stole it?

My husband!! Sure did!

It was for our family party tonite and he just helped himself to it! Yep, that little pigglet just got him a big ol' piece of that pie and wolfed it down! But, I made another one. :-) (giggle, giggle)

LOL......I just caught my hubby eyeing my pan of squares that I just took out of the oven. I told him it was worth his life if he touched it. It's headed for the freezer for Christmas.

His comment to your post and my threatening him, is "when will women that know how to bake, learn to make 2 of them?" in an innocent tone of voice.

I love pumpkin fudge, well I love all things pumpkin. Here is what I have used but I will give yours a try as it seems easier and I'm not proficient in fudge making! Pumpkin Fudge 3 cups sugar Â¾ cup melted butter 2/3 cup evaporate milk Â½ cup canned pumpkin 2 tbls corn syrup 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 12 oz pkg white chocolate morsels 1 7 oz jar marshmallow crÃ¨me 1 cup chopped pecans toasted STIR together first 6 ingredients in a 3 Â½ quart saucepan over medium-high heat and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Cook stirring constantly until a candy thermometer registers 234 (soft-ball stage) or for abut 12 minutes. REMOVE pan from heat; stir in remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour into a greased aluminum foil-lined 9" square pan. Let stand 2 hours or until completely cool. Cut into squares.

I was thinking about this pie just the other day! I have not made it, yet. Might just have to do that tomorrow. We love chocolate pie made with chocolate pudding. I have not tried the Bisquick pudding. I will keep that recipe to try, also. Thank you, Glenda! For those of you who don't want to, or can't roll pie dough, you might like to try this recipe. Some people call this the Bride's Pie Crust. 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/2 t. salt 1/4 c. milk 1 1/2 c. flour Mix all ingredients together in your 9" pie plate until it forms a soft ball. Spread out with your fingers. Fill and bake. If you need a topping, use the mixture you would use on apple crisp. If you need a pre-baked crust, prick the crust with a fork, and bake. Fill when cooled.

desertsteph! :) When it's completely cool the filling has the consistency of soft fudge, or the gooiest brownie ever--kind of like the chocolate truffles made with egg yolks--way back when we weren't afraid to use raw eggs. I shorted the sugar by a tablespoon, or so, from each cup, and it was still sweet. See pic #6, with the filled pie shells and crushed toffee on the counter? At that point the filling was so gorgeous and tempting, if it hadn't contained raw eggs that bowl would have been licked clean! We had an assortment of desserts for dinner (my mom's peach and cherry pies, cinnamon cookies I made with the pie crust scraps, and a peanut butter/chocolate mousse my FIL brought), so there was left-over fudge pie. I think it was even better the next morning. You should try it--it's so easy. Melt the butter in the MW, then stir everything else in with a whisk or spoon--no need to drag out the mixer. Use a purchased pie shell, or just butter the pie plate and skip the crust. Since it was the first time I'd tried the recipe I used AP flour in the filling, but next time I'm going to try whole wheat. And maybe some chia seeds sprinkled in with the toffee. ;) My yard is full of violets--I picked them the evening before, and left them in a bowl of water so that any bugs could wander out before the flowers were placed on the eggs. I always pick daffodils to decorate the tables, but this year they bloomed too early, and I wanted something spring-y. My dear FIL brought me a pot of forced, pale yellow daffs, so at least the dessert table had flowers.

Ah, sounds like a wise man indeed. But the answer is probably the cliche If you don't KNOW, then I'm not gonna TELL you!!!

What if the freezer breaks down? You've had appliance trouble before. And really... if you're going to leave it for two weeks it's not going to be very good. I'd suggest he dispose of it now. Consider it a test batch and you'll know it works to make later. Unless it's another situation where the Canadian/metric Christmas is celebrated at a different time of year, not unlike Thanksgiving! :D

Beware of the Christmas Mice that invade kitchens and pantries this time of year. They work their way indoors this time of year.

I made another fudge pie. But isn't it funny when you walk into your kitchen, discover that a slice of pie is missing, you shout out the known culprit, and the innocently answer "whaaat?" not to mention the taletale smudge of chocolate on upper lip. Like they didn't do anything. Yeah, right, Fudgeface. I guess I will make one, hide one.

We were told that once it was cut, that it was fair game ...

... but that, until then, we were only to cut it after having received permission.

We were very obedient.

My memory seems to skip a beat, at times.
