My fudge pie was stolen!

and guess who stole it?

My husband!! Sure did!

It was for our family party tonite and he just helped himself to it! Yep, that little pigglet just got him a big ol' piece of that pie and wolfed it down! But, I made another one. :-) (giggle, giggle)

LOL......I just caught my hubby eyeing my pan of squares that I just took out of the oven. I told him it was worth his life if he touched it. It's headed for the freezer for Christmas.

His comment to your post and my threatening him, is "when will women that know how to bake, learn to make 2 of them?" in an innocent tone of voice.

Glenda, sorry it took me so long, but the first picture I took, just didn't turn out. Just got back home, from helping Helen get out of town. :) I put my bike in her trunk, and guide her out of the big city traffic. Then we take an exit, and I get my bike out, and we say good bye. I ride home, and she drives home. Bless her heart, she is 76, and still drives to visit. :) What a gal. Now, about that statement, what a gal you are. Thanks for listening to me, when I was making the pie. We ate most of it, but I still have a bit left over, for later today, and who knows, I might be able to stretch it, to still have some tomorrow. :) Thanks again for the recipe. Here is the piece I just got finished eating.

This is the fudge pie that everyone loves to make at the Kitchen Table Fudge Pie 1 stick butter melted 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup cocoa 2 eggs beaten 1 tsp vanilla. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, eggs, vanilla until blended, stir in melted butter, Pour into regular thawed pie crust. Bake at 325 for 35-45 minutes. Mine bakes in 35 minutes. You will think its not done, but it is. It looks like the middle has fallen, That's the way it is supposed to look.

I remember someone asking for this a couple of years ago. I found a fudge recipe with similar ingredients as shoo fly pie but don't remember if the person ever replied back. Did this one have chocolate or cocoa in it?

Glenda, I love that pie. But, like you, just for one it is a bit much. I may make it to take to work with me tomorrow. Meanwhile, here is how I have it saved on my computer: Posted by glenda_al Been making this for years and years, 8 inch pie. Ah, sounds like a wise man indeed. But the answer is probably the cliche If you don't KNOW, then I'm not gonna TELL you!!!

What if the freezer breaks down? You've had appliance trouble before. And really... if you're going to leave it for two weeks it's not going to be very good. I'd suggest he dispose of it now. Consider it a test batch and you'll know it works to make later. Unless it's another situation where the Canadian/metric Christmas is celebrated at a different time of year, not unlike Thanksgiving! :D

Beware of the Christmas Mice that invade kitchens and pantries this time of year. They work their way indoors this time of year.

I made another fudge pie. But isn't it funny when you walk into your kitchen, discover that a slice of pie is missing, you shout out the known culprit, and the innocently answer "whaaat?" not to mention the taletale smudge of chocolate on upper lip. Like they didn't do anything. Yeah, right, Fudgeface. I guess I will make one, hide one.

We were told that once it was cut, that it was fair game ...

... but that, until then, we were only to cut it after having received permission.

We were very obedient.

My memory seems to skip a beat, at times.
