Please take care of yourself. That can turn very nasty; took me 6 months to get over it in 2005 because I tried to work through it.

Chicken soup, water, tea, and some good chick flicks should keep you going in the right direction, along with your meds.

Bummer! I am so sorry...penumonia isn't for sissys. Sleep is a good cure. Elevate your head and chest area. Put on some boring sleepy time movies, a warm blankie.

Don't forget to put vicks vapor rub on the bottem of your feet. Chicken noodle soup.

Sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well, made a visit to the ER and that you have pneumonia.
I had pneumonia a few weeks ago and it is not fun at all. Take care, get plenty of rest and drink your liquids.

Thanks everyone, for the good thoughts. I drove by Applebee's while waiting for my Rx's to be filled, and got some Cheese Broccoli soup. Then picked up my Rx's and came home and ate my soup and took my meds.
Patti, no, I've never had pneumonia before and I've never gotten the shot either. I don't know if I'll have to wait until next fall when I get my flu shot to get a shot, or if I can get any time.
I should be getting 2 movies from Netflix tomorrow, so I'll have a couple movies to watch. Today I'll just rest a lot.

Please be sure and rest a LOT!! Pneumonia really takes everything out of you.It took me months to get any energy back after having it last year. I did get the shot this year, so far so good..
Also, if you feel like you aren't geting any better go right back to the MD. Also, take your temperature often,mine was around 102 most days. I had to go in every day to his office for a nebulizer, because I didn't want to go back into the hospital. Pneumonia isn't something that gets better on it's own, so take those meds and rest..

Sounds like you are taking care of it early. Hopefully those meds will help very soon. Get your rest, keep warm.

Weather guys are saying it may not snow as much as they thought. We can hope! We have enough snow on the ground as far as I'm concerned.

I had bronchitis in August and it took months to recover from, as a previous KTer said, because I attempted to work through it.

I should say, I've had a cold since the 8th of December. I thought it was going away, and was just a virus, not an infection, because the mucous was clear. Until yesterday. I knew it was going the wrong direction, because I was feeling worse.
Time for the cough syrup again.

Sorry to hear you're now well Leslie. I hope the meds will do their job and get you feeling better. Just try NOT to overdo when you start feeling better cuz it will put you on your butt in a hurry. Do as the others have said.....let the kids/grandkids pamper you a little and just stay in your jammies, rest and keep warm.

You would probably still be in the ER if you tried to go to one here. They are always full of people--and we have a ton of them, along with a ton of quick cares. And you are convinced if you don't have pnuemonia when you go, you will by the time you leave.
