Update, Spider the cat

I'm going to let him go today. I've arranged with the vet to be there at 2:00. After a week, the last meds have made no difference. He is having a hard time breathing since last night, and not eaten much the last 24 hours. Diahrea. He will only eat a bit of baby food meats, and seems to struggle to swallow, gags on even baby food! His 'good' eye is rolling back in his head, the swollen one has never improved, it's completely shut. He moves around my bedroom, but doesn't go anywhere else in the house. He woke me up in the middle of the night with a sort of wheezing, coughing, sneezing, gasping attack. His airway and throat definitely seem very blocked by the swelling in his face, it has just taken over. He has done it a few times since then, too. I have been up since the first time worrying and watching him be miserable. He is not comfortable anymore. Nothing has helped, I can see he's only getting worse. I'm afraid to leave him home alone, so I turned down a sub job today. I'm afraid he will die suffering, suffocating, if he's alone.

So I called the vet, could barely speak, but they knew why I was calling. I know it's time. I'm just gonna sit here with him on my lap now, except when he jumps down to go hide under the bed for a while, then I'll let him hide.

Thanks for listening and all your kind words these last few weeks.
