Washing dry clean only jeans

I just baought a nice pair of Ralph Lauren jeans. They are 95 percent cotton and 5 percent elastane. The care label says dry clean only. However, I can only wear jeans three times in a row at most until they seem dirty to me. If I dry cleaned these jeans, they would be at the dry cleaner more than in my closet, so I want to wash them.

I also bought similar pants from Chicos last fall. I washed them in warm water then hung to dry. I tossed them in the dryer on low for a few minutes to get rid of wrinkles. They have shrunk a good four inches in the legs!

How can I wash my new jeans without shrinking them? I really don't want the nuisance and expense of dry cleaning.
