I went back and read the thread. The way *I* took it, is Charlee was laughing at the response you got when you posted way back when, and someone then called you a troll. I don't think he/she is calling you a troll now.

You've posted often enough that I recognize your name. Don't leave. I really do believe you can contribute valuable information. Just on everyday topics and certainly on topics that you know, based on your professional knowledge.

I for one would like you to stay, and post more often.

I went back and read the thread, too. I don't know why Charlee (I don't recognize his/her name) used the word troll, but I think Jasdip may be right.

In any case, the important thing is to read the rest of the thread--all the positive comments directed at you. It would be a shame to let one person's negativity (and that negativity isn't even a sure thing) have such an impact.

Salgal, I agree with Jasdip, I think Charlee was just commenting on how ironic or sad it is that when someone has valuable knowledge to share they get blasted and treated like a business seeking troll. It was not a slam against you at all.

Hope you reconsider.

I agree Jodi. Charlee is an old time poster and wasn't directing that comment at you. She is one of the nicest people here. I think perhaps you are seeing something that isn't there.

Sal, it's your choice if your intent on going, but I have to say, to me, charlee appeared to be defending your knowlege.
A person is hardly a troll when they are sharing valuable knowlege.
Maybe some rest will help you rethink this.

I got insulted a few months ago and dropped out for a while. My skin grew back and I've come back also. Please reconsider. We need as many opinions as we can get, but no name-calling!

SalGal I went back and reread the post also. I do not think Charlee was being mean to you~~if I remember right Trolls were folks who either lurked and made nasty remarks or people that made up different user names so they could come and start trouble.What she was saying to you was how silly to call you a Troll for giving positive advice and being a regular on the KT.

My skin as as thin as they come, and there have been times it has been rubbed raw, but I get over it in a few days and come back. I hope you have second thoughts and don't leave the Table. A week or so ago there was some difficulty here that has bothered me. One of our long-time regular had (what I thought was) an extreme reaction to something I posted. It has bothered me not for what she/he said, but I am worried that there is something going on in the person's life that led to the reaction. I've been thinking of going back in some of the pages to see if I can find this persons email and try to kindly touch base. I don't know if this is a good idea or not.

This is a very emotional time of year that sneaks up on all of us. More so if you have just attended a funeral.

Salgal, take a deep breath, then another one. Just breathe for now and let this pass. These things do here. And there is always different ways of interpreting the printed word. It's different when you cannot see the face or hand gestures.

Let this pass as well as letting yourself off a hook of concern.

We are family here.

Keep posting! The other day in a thread I hadn't even posted to, someone was talking about me "behind my back" without naming me, saying I didn't have the Christmas Spirit because I preferred old-fashioned Christmas cards over photocards. lol. Don't let anyone drive you off.

Sending a hug to salgal because it's clear you deserve one for being such a good friend to the one who lost a loved one!

I think you misinterpreted what sweet charlee said, but certainly tip my hat to you for the apology. That's what friendship is about. Friends have "tiffs" but forgiveness is key to a lasting relationship. Hugs and Merry Christmas!

Well, I'm the one who used the word "troll". If someone else used it before me, I missed it. I was saying that I was called a troll when I first started posting here. I thought Charlee was referring to my post, but I didn't take offence.

But I'm glad you're looking at things differently, and I hope you have a much better day!

When you say kitchen and bath industry...do you mean you're familiar with brands of appliances? You have good insight into what possibly not or, do, recommend?

We ALL need a hug this time of year - for many of us, this season is tough to get through, especially if illness or death is involved.

I'm glad you felt you could vent here - that's why we are here - to share joy and unhappiness with EACH OTHER, because we CARE about each other.

Glad you're back.

I remember once I had been posting about my radio show and the interviews I was doing with the musicians. Well someone blasted me saying "no one cares" and "get over yourself". I also took it to heart until I realized that this particular person was just a lurker and didn't know me.

So..do you know what I did????? I INTRODUCED MYSELF!...lol Really all the KT'ers came to my defense and this other person realized that they couldn't just make nasty comments and get away with it.

We here at the KT may have differences of opinions at times but we are always there for each other.

I agree with the sentiments already expressed.

And it is an especially difficult time of year for someone to suffer bereavement, in the midst of all of the partying.

Maybe pass on to that friend that a number of people here have experienced that pain, and have gone through it with others, and we offer our condolences to him/her/them.

Some years ago I helped clean up the homes of a village in the high Alps of France, near the Italian border, after a raging torrent devastated it and later when I wrote the mayor, he replied how impressed the citizens were, and thankful, that strangers from distant places had shown an interest and come to help.

I hope that your friend can find some peace and comfort in her/his heart at this blessed season, if it is ordinarily an important occasion to him/her: maybe the awareness that dozens of people across several countries are thinking of her/him in the midst of that pain may be comforting.

As others have said, I was just thinking what a mean thing to say to someone.

People here who have known me know that I would never say something mean like that.
