Questions about a recipe...

A couple of weeks ago, somebody posted this recipe and I immediately saved it because I thought it looked delicious. We are having a pot-luck buffet at work this week and it's my job to bring the cranberries.

My questions:

1. Do you just put the bag of raw cranberries through the processor & how finely should they be chopped up?

2. When you are eating it, is the texture gritty? If the berries are raw, I would think the jello & apples & oranges & the berries would be a gritty combination.

I've never had this before but I have all the stuff to make it, just want to make sure I do it right.

Cranberry Jello

Ingredients:

4 oranges peeled and seeded

4 apples peeled and cored

1 lbs. cranberries washed

2 large and one small red gelatin (strawberry or cherry)

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup of boiling water

Directions:

Put all fruit through meat grinder. Mix sugar and gelatin with the boiling water and mix in to fruit mix. Pour in mold and refrigerate overnight. Invert on to platter and serve chilled.
