beautiful surprise

I just had a beautiful surprise this morning, in spite of the awful (for Oklahoma's anyway) cold temp outside.

My daughter texted me, to turn on skype. She then skyped with me over her phone.

This way, I got to see and talk to the grand-kids while they all were at their other grandma.

Yeah.

Yes, Skype is the best! I get to see two of my grandkids (1 and 2 1/2) almost every day, and they live 1,200 miles away - awesome!

It's just so satisfying to see the grandkids. Yes, that is a "beautiful surprise."

Our grandkids will take this technology for granted.

Hi, I'am new to this club. So good to meet you and get some advice or knowledge. I visted my aunt in New Mexico And she had this very lanky plant. she gave me 4 cuttings the leaves are about 3-5 inches long and about 2-3 inches wide in some parts, not sure of accurate measure. but she called it a one night-stand/ a cereus. since as you know only blooms one night out of the year, at least her variety does. I missed the blooming period but I heard all about it. I live in the state of washington on the wet and soggy side. What kind of lighting,and watering and feeding do these plants need? I put them in potting soil, so far they look droopy but the stem at the base look bright green.I don't even know what the flowers look like. The cutting are about 6 weeks old now, she said give it a year for it to take. I did a search online but I dont understand why an epi is what comes up? thankyou:)

When I woke up today & waked into the diningroom & saw my BUNNIES, it was such a warm feeling, I just love them and they are so special on the table, to wake up to! I can't thank Karen enough, like I said, they will be out thru all of spring, the decor is not specific to Easter, but more spring. I know I'll be using them in other vignettes thru the year, you will all get to know them well, or get very tired of seeing them. I think they need names, sort of like Kathleen's SPUD!!!

Understand, we skype often, but never done it via a phone. Mine doesn't have that capability... I am to cheap, to have such a phone and the charges connected with it.

However, my daughter and her husband have. Thus, I got to see everyone, and talk to everyone, and watch the kids play, and let them show me their gifts. :)

I don't Skype but I do do OOVOO with my best friend and my practice grandkids....OOVOO is connected someway to facebook...not sure how....

Skype is fun. We also do facetime with our iPads when the kids go on vacation. When they were in Hawaii ,she'd take the iPad outside and I'd see the ocean and where they were staying. Would never have believed this technology when I was young. Dick Tracey's watch was way futuristic to me.
