Out of the mouth of babes.....

One of my fondest memories of my daughter occurred when she was only 3 years old.

In those days I was driving truck for a living and I would often go out on the road for two or three months at a time so when I got home I treasured my time with my daughter.

At the time my wife was working in a large department store at the mall and generally my daughter would spend the day in a day care center, but when Daddy was home I would drive my wife to work, and I would keep my daughter with me for the day.

We had a routine where we would drive my wife to work, then Kimberly and I would go in the mall. First stop was the arcade where she would ride the quarter horse, (you know, the horse you put the kid on, then drop a quarter in the box and they ride a couple minutes..), then she and I would play "Bop the gophers" which was an arcade game where you stood there will a huge soft mallet in your hand and when a gopher popped its head up, you bopped it on the head, and if you hit it bells would ring and you got a point..

After we played in the arcade we would go across the hall to the pet store, and I got to tell you, taking a three year old to a pet store is like a full blown trip to a zoo. She would pet the puppies, kitties and occassionally a bunny or two, then talk to the parrot and leisurely browse the fish tanks like it was a seaworld aquarium...

We would then browse through the mall, window shopping mostly, but on occassion she would con daddy into buying her a simple toy. Nothing expensive or elaborate, but everything is fun when your 3 yrs old and I couldn't contain myself from laughing at her glee.

Finally we would stop at the little bakery coffee shop in the middle of the mall and she would have a hot chocolate while I had a coffee.

One day we had made all the rounds and we were finally sitting there at the coffee counter. The whole coffee shop was croweded and we were having fun just watching some of the ppl, when all of the sudden somebody in the crowd let out a horrendous fart....VAROOOOM!!!!!!

And with that my daughter looked up and shouted,,,"Mee's daddy farted!". I could have died from embarassment, but to this day whenever she and I are together we remember that one incident....LOL
