How a person like me can come back to this site every now and then (and I truly wish I could answer each and every one of your questions) and post a dilemma I'm having?

I've been posting here since 2002? I think - well somewhere around there. And anytime I had an issue, I would always remember to come to the KT to get your opinions.

And all you guys have come through with your heartfelt responses. You've been with me through all the trials and tribulations. And it warms my heart to see names I recognize from 9 years ago. Amazing.

Welcome(back)!!! I've been sitting at this table since it was place in the kitchen. It just feels like HOME!!

I'm with Bump...I was on sitting at this table since the second day it opened...there was only one page of postings...and I've never left...I've gone to other places but this place will always seem like home for me on the WWW...

You are so right about postings of trials and tribulations...there just isn't a better group of people then right here at the table...

I had over watered when I was living on my mom's property with them being there, now I have my own house and I have added to the irises because I have more space. A friend was able to save my irises and I have both my old irises and new irises doing well. I have only lost two irises this year and they were both new from the hybridizer and they had weak rhizomes from the start. right now I have fourteen of the origional Sixteen left and they are doing well. I water twice a week. Ussually Wednesdays and Sundays and they seem to be doing extremely well. Infact I am getting new growth on many of my irises. Happiness is in seeing blooms next year. :) the list of existing irises in my garden are: (1)Cloud Ballet (blue) (2)Dusky Challenger (dark purple) (3)He-Man Blues (blue) (4)Stairway to Heaven (blue) (5)Nora's Thrill (burgandy) (6)Before the Storm (black) (7)Thorn Bird (mixed) (8)Heritage Lace (yellow) (9)Silverado (blue) (10)Jesse's Song (purple and white) (11)Sharp Shooter(purple and white) (12)Laura Buelow (blue and white) (13)Wide Hips (blue) (14)HappenStance (pink) BTW: I have two photos of my garden but can not seem to get them out here if you want to see them e-mail me at misterkunk@gmail.com

Thanks for the kind comments. I got a good laugh from Brandon. Yea, it is all dead stuff and not the most colorful arrangement, but, after all, it is designed for fall when all the pretty stuff is dying anyway. I am amazed that I see arrangements of dead stuff selling for BIG bucks every fall. I figured my stuff was free and even though I know absolutely nothing about flower arranging, I would try to put something together and see how it turned out.

As something of a newcomer...how long has KT been around? It's been lovely to 'drop in and chat'. KT proves the theory of 'The Wisdom of Crowds'. (And how *caring* people can be of one another.)

This is a wonderful place, with some pretty wonderful people. I have been here for a few years now. I don't post as often since Facebook became part of my online life. But I do love to sit and read about what everyone is doing, eating, wearing, giving birth to, rescuing, the list goes on. I feel like I know every child, grandbaby, pet as if they were family. I just love it here. Plus the food is great!

There's another forum that I lurk only. They aren't as friendly to each other as the KT is. KT is my favourite, hands-down.

Think i've been here since late 99 or early 2000.I come almost every day to read and see "show me yours",i don't always post everyday though.This board and all those here have been a very good support system for me,especially the last year and a half as i battle breast cancer,and am winning,thank you Lord! !

It's always nice to see what everyone is doing,or are going to do and lend support when needed.

Yup this is as good as talking to sisters and brothers!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone, Hope you all have a GREAT 2010.

Don't know how long that I've had a chair at the table, but I DO know that I'm still using recipes from here that were dated like 2003, etc.! LOL

Happy New Year Kitchen Table! Hope it's a bright, beautiful year for all of us.

Been here since the start when it was announced on the Crafts and Decorations forum that the KT was formed. 1997 seems soooo long ago. LOL

I've not been here nearly as long as some of you ... but I really enjoy the people at this place.

I've learned a number of things, and find that many people have received good suggestions, and a wide variety of them, from different points of view.

And we've had a good deal of fun, from time to time, as well.

May you all have a glorious 2010!

Yep, it's an amazing place. I remember when I got here that some really solid friendships had already been formed, so I must have wandered in around 1999 or 2000. I sneaked in thru the back door from the garage, past all the smokers on the stoop! :) YaYa, you were right behind me, because you came to our first get-together here at my house in 2001.

I've lurked since 2003. I was without a computer during time of 05 & 06 while tending my family's health. But, I've been back since 2006, just don't post as much.
